SCCM Prerequisites- Part 7

Install SQL Server


  • Enable the Public NIC.



  • Browse to SQL Server 2008 R2 iso image (approx. 2.28 GB).



  • Double click and run setup.



  • Click new installation.



  • Press Ok.



  • Click Next.



  • Select "I accept">next.



  • Click Install.



  • Click Next.



  • Click Next.



  • Select Database Engine Services, Reporting Services and Management Tools – Complete.



  • Click Next.



  • Keep Default. Click Next.



  • Click Next.



  • Browse for SCCM user.



  • Select SCCM user, type in password and choose startup type as automatic.



  • Add current user and add SCCM user as well.



  • Click Next.



  • Click Next.



  • Click Next.



  • Click Install.



  • Close on successful installation.



  • Go to SQL server management Studio.



  • Click Connect.



  • Right click SCCM server>Properties.



  • Change the minimum and maximum server memory to 4096 mb.



  • Go to SQL server Configuration Manager.



  • Go to protocols for MSSQLSERVER>Select TCP/IP and enable it.



  • Restart SQLSERVER for setup completion.
