Set up VMware Workstation 9.0 and Windows Server 2008R2

• Download and install the setup for VMware Workstation 9 (429 Mb approx.)
• Double click and run VMware workstation.
• Create a New Virtual machine

• Click next and Browse the setup for Windows Server 2008 R2 (2.94 GB)

• Skip entering the Product key and click next

• Create a new folder wherein you want the installation or VM files to be created. Give a meaningful name.

• Customize Hardware to increase RAM upto 4GB

• Click Finish to complete.

Install Windows Server 2008R2

• Windows installation setup will initiate.

• Wait till VMware tools installation completes.

• Windows Server 2008 R2 installation successful.
